Community Service Boards
Providing local mental health, developmental, and substance use services, including emergency response, screening, outpatient care, and connection to ongoing supports.

Crisis Care
Providing immediate, short-term support during a mental health, emotional, or substance use crisis to ensure safety, stabilize the situation, and connect individuals with ongoing resources.

Harm Reduction Services
Providing services and support that reduce the negative consequences of substance use, including education, safer use strategies, access to clean supplies, overdose prevention, and connection to treatment and recovery resources.

Inpatient Treatment
Providing structured, 24-hour treatment programs and support services for individuals experiencing problems with alcohol or substance use, including hospitals dedicated to substance use disorders and specialized programs within general inpatient facilities.

Outpatient Treatment
Providing structured treatment programs and support services for individuals with alcohol or substance use challenges while allowing them to live at home, including counseling, education, and ongoing recovery support.

Substance Use Disorder Counseling
Providing individual, group, and family counseling for individuals affected by alcohol or substance use, as well as for their families, to build understanding and support recovery efforts.

211 Virginia is a contracted service of the Commonwealth of Virginia, administered by the Virginia Department of Social Services provided in partnership with the Council of Community Services.
About the Opioid Reduction Registry
The Opioid Reduction Registry (ORR) is a registry of services for individuals experiencing substance use issues and for those supporting them. ORR supports access, awareness, and recovery through 211 Virginia.
The ORR is supported through a grant from the Virginia Opioid Abatement Authority.
