Comprehensive Database
211 Virginia’s database team continually verify listings to ensure that our database is as accurate and up-to-date as possible. At a minimum, our database staff will send service providers annual reminders to ensure records are updated annually. If you notice something is out of date, please let us know. You can also suggest additional listings.

Add a Resource We are always looking to list new health and human services in the 211 Virginia database.
211 Virginia strives to have the most comprehensive and up-to-date database in the Commonwealth. Our database contains information of thousands of health and human service agencies across Virginia.
Interested in listing?
1. Search for the resource to make sure it isn’t already listed. You may want to try a few variations of the organization’s name.
2. Review our Inclusion Policy, which outlines eligibility for program and service listings.
3. If you meet our Inclusion Policy, click “Add a Resource” above to fill out our Resource Inclusion form.
4. Once the form is complete, click the “Submit” button to submit your inclusion request.
5. Your request will be reviewed and entered into the directory. A member of our database team will reach out to you as soon as possible to confirm your information. Please note that new agencies may take longer than usual to process due to the recent database transition.If you have any issues with the form or prefer to work hands-on with a 211 Virginia staff member, please reach out to your regional Community Engagement Specialist for support. Update a Resource Help us keep your information accurate and up to date!
A designated contact person for each service in the 211 Virginia resource directory will receive an annual email reminding them to conduct updates and providing them with a tokenized link to their update dashboard.Have updates to make in the meantime?
1. Check our list to see if your agency already has a designated point of contact.
2. If your agency does not already have a designated point of contact, use the “Claim Agency” form to submit a point of contact for your agency.
3. Click “Update Your Agency” above to fill out our Revision Request form. The form will prompt you to search for the agency, site, or service that you would like to revise and verify your identity. The search will only pull exact matches, so you may need to try variations or sections of the resource name if it doesn’t show up on your first search. You can also search for the resource on our public search tool to find the exact name that’s recorded in our resource directory.
4. Once you have submitted the Revision Request form, an email will be sent to you with instructions and a one-time use link to suggest edits to your selected resource. A record administrator will then review your suggestions and make any appropriate changes within approximately 4-6 weeks.If you have any issues with the form or prefer to work hands-on with a 211 Virginia staff member, please reach out to your regional Community Engagement Specialist for support.
